This notebook is an image created by applying specialist disperse dyes to paper, then laying some cow parsley on the fabric. The dyed paper is laid over the cow parsley, dye side down and then a domestic iron is used to transfer the dye by heat from the paper to the fabric. The cow parsley acts as a resist leaving an impression of it's silhouette on the print. In this case the cow parsley was previously used with red dyed papers and then the cow parsley was flipped over so that the dyed side was facing the fabric and this time the cow parsley also transferred dye creating not just a silhouette shape but a coloured plant shape. The image is completed with some free machining.
